Researchers at the UCD DCRC have been at the forefront of exploring the causes, consequences and treatment of obesity. Their findings have helped reduce the stigmatisation of obesity and increase the number of patients seeking treatment. The Centre was also instrumental in resuming treatment for obesity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
